The TFT podcast is wonderful, infuriating, occasionally wrong, and often brilliant. Over the years they have covered Gossip Girl, Glee, Misfits, Skins, Friday Night Lights, Girls, and popular music with varying levels of success. I'm still a fan after their years of attempts to alienate and confound their audience but I recognize that the show isn't for everyone. I suppose the perfect TFT fan is somewhat of a lifelong academic with a taste for "trashy" teen-oriented shows. You don't need to come to the show with the academic background that Ryan and Matt have to understand and enjoy it. But it helps to have a high level of tolerance for, well, wherever their minds end up going that episode. If you are a new listener, I recommend starting out with the Gossip Girl years even if you've never watched that show to really understand what TFT is about and what made it great.

More reviews of Theory For Turntables (TFT) Podcast
