“Do you see people lining up to leave only in Punjab? I would like to see similar Cut The Clutter on similar sized states (based on population). I see plenty of people leaving from states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Kerala to foreign lands such as the usual US, UK, Canada and the middle-east but also to now Australia, New Zealand and others. Imo, this is a larger growth issue, and inability of the governments both at state level and the Center to create enough jobs with living wages to support a family. Unless that’s addressed the exodus out of India will continue and may accelerate. Look at the stats of people giving up citizenship. It hit record 250,000+ after COVID pandemic. The government policies have to change to move people from low-returns agricultural jobs to higher paying industrial jobs in millions.”
