I enjoy this podcast, but the gen z conversations are such a turn off. The homecoming episode was completely annoying to listen to because they complained about it being for alum (which it is), and kept bringing up their needs for funding. It was a total miss to celebrate the joy that homecoming...Read full review »

Tbh I used to really like TBG. But that episode about gen z and voting was super weird and disappointing. To say you don’t know if you’re going to vote or not is ridiculous considering your platform. I’m a gen z and don’t feel this way at all. It’s actually common sense who to vote for. The black...Read full review »

I had the pleasure of listening to “Therapy for Black Women” for the first time and what I will say is I absolutely loved it! I decided to start at the very beginning of the podcast to gain a better understanding of the topics discussed. The topics in the first three episodes I’ve listened to so...Read full review »

So this podcast is only for black people? Completely ridiculous that you would call this “therapy for black people”.

I’ve listened to almost everyone even those that don’t pertain to my life, and I learn a lot about topics and it has given more perspective and grace for others life and their decisions.

I can’t recommend this to any woman. It is alienating and not helpful. Seek out your own therapist, Ladies.

I love the big topics + the deep work done here. & this morning had a good cry to the small episode breaking down Megs sentiments around her new project Cobra. Such a powerful small episode. The intersection of pop culture hits hard, Dr. Joy. Love TFBG- thank yu!

I started listening from the VERY beginning just last week. I listen to an episode every morning in the morning on my way to take my daughter to school. There’s a disregard and lack of respect for black women that are Atheists. They’re also underrepresented and often do not get fair treatment anywhere. However that isn’t discussed. Therefore pushing black women into social norms that they don’t resonate with.

How is this title ok? Can I make a podcast just for white women? No because it’s a disgusting concept! Stop making racism ok!

As much as I love the show, I wish the description of each episode was at the top of the text rather than after the description of the show. Great podcast when I started listening a few years ago, but now the format is more interviews and sometimes gets a little self-promoty for the guests.
