Robotic
I can be kind of picky about podcasts based on whether I like the narrator or not, so I try not to judge too harshly. Still, I couldn’t help wondering if the guy doing the storytelling here wasn’t actually some type of computer generated text-to-voice program. There really is that little emotion or inflection in his voice. The cadence never once changes. It’s maddening, especially since the whole thing is all just him telling the story…no other voices or recordings. Just this incredibly monotonous robotic droning for the entire episode. I’ve only listened to one episode so far but man, I can’t say this one made me want to listen to another!

I’m a huge fan of They Walk Among Us and TWAU America, but the new presenter’s voice for ‘America’ is so monotone it’s almost computer generated and really impacts on the enjoyment of the podcast. I’m so disappointed by this, until now it’s been my go to listen but I’m not sure I’ll listen again.
