Oh hey there again and thanks for joining us for episode 39! I could listen to Vic talk all day, honestly. Today, we present to you our chat about life as a freelance musician parent and Vic's experiences of pregnancy discrimination - a very real but seldom talked about topic. Vic herself is an amazing trumpet player who frequently appears on TV as well as performing to a live audience. She's performed at the BBC Music Awards, Strictly Come Dancing, Britains Got Talent and This Morning, as well as performing with artists such as Rod Stewart, Charlotte Church, John Cale and Robin S. Victoria has worked in the West End as a dep and with touring shows such as Wicked, Miss Saigon, Funny Girl, Follies, Evita and on the production of Astley’s Astounding Adventures. She’s played with a number of the UKs leading orchestras including the Hallé, Welsh Pops Orchestra, Royal National Scottish Orchestra, British Sinfonietta and plays with Pop bands and function bands such as The Old Dirty Brassards, Oompah Brass and The House and Garage Orchestra. Victoria also enjoys performing solo recitals for events and concert venues playing a wide variety of music.
