Thoughtful Christian conversation
Bourbon, pipe tobacco, cigars, thoughtful Christian conversation and learning—that’s the Thinking Fellows Podcast. Three of Concordia Irvine’s finest, Dr. Scott Kieth, Adjunct Professor of Theology, Dr. Rod Rosenbladt, former Professor of Theology, and Dr. Adam Francisco, Professor of History and Political Thought sit around a microphone and take on a number of topics meant for that person looking to take Christian thought just a little bit deeper. The Podcast started with Melanchthon’s Loci series, opening up discussions on topics such as Sin, Law, Gospel, Grace and Vocation among many others. Since, these men have covered a number of different subject matter, including apologetics, Islam, masculinity, the reliability of the scriptures, and the Reformation. Each episode is sure to feed that need to fill your brain and your heart. I’m currently thoroughly enjoying their current theme: the Early Church fathers. This is layer of history not often taught among the Reformed Church and they do a spectacular job at it. While I love this podcast I will admit that it is one that can go a little deeper than others. If you’re a history buff, a deep thinker or just a Christian looking to learn, this podcast is sure enliven thought. And if you listen very closely every once in a while you can hear a match light up or the clanking of tumbler as they… well they are Lutheran.
