“tangled” episode
t seems you’ve hit upon a key insight: the real antidote to “conspiracy nonsense” lies in trustworthy journalism. What audiences truly seek is simple—journalists they can rely on. All that Tangled is doing is fulfilling the most basic standard we should expect from any journalist. Frankly, it’s bewildering to hear politicians and journalists lamenting the rise of conspiracy theories when their own entanglements with billionaires have eroded public trust in mainstream media and politics. Should we not hold journalists and politicians to the same standards of accountability and ethics as we do judges or police officers? The issue has never been with the public. Rather, it’s with journalists who have allowed themselves to be compromised—owned by media moguls, funded by lobbies, and adopting an air of moral authority as if they are the arbiters of character.
