This is truly a special podcast. Cultural figures from every aspect of the arts, film, music, visual arts. Invigorating conversations. An antidote in difficult times

John Wilson is a brilliant interviewer. I particularly love that so many of his subjects are older, and having led such full lives in their art, their stories are so rich, varied and inspiring.

the interviewer is hell bent on interviewing ONLY POSH people or Oxbridge ‘ types ‘ this is nepotism at its worst . pass on this utter dull mess . that’s full of a wide eyed child interviewer wishing he has a different education. a total farce

Could have been the incisive desert island docs without the music. But alas the interviewer panders to the guests and one leaves none the wiser. Kidman episode is a great example. You can virtually hear him fawning over her while she waxes lyrical about how great she was in everything she did. No...Read full review »

I was sad to hear that John Wilson was leaving Front Row, so it’s wonderful to hear him again with his gentle and insightful questions exploring the arts and culture.

"Candid conversations with the world's leading cultural figures..." is the description. The first interviewee is Kenneth Branagh. Yes, certainly fits the description. The second is Bernadine Evaristo...who? Hardly a world leading cultural figure.Read full review »
