“Ashlynn, I’ve been listening since January, and like you said in this episode of your story, I have a similar but different story.
As I find myself now divorced, I’m so grateful that you have shared the truths God has shown you and the steps you’ve used to take forward. Divorce is indeed a step, not a definition and your transparency and willingness to be vulnerable has been immensely helpful.
Thank you also for pointing out the steps partners of sex addicts can take to find healing from very real PTSD symptoms. My group in Ohio, led by Hil Barry, also went through those very steps. She even got to write a book about her journey that strengthens the community of writers helping women face this devastation. One of the things she encourages, like you mentioned and many others have, is our own personal growth.
And thank you that you are making a daily choice to be honest with yourself about your feelings and make small changes to help you, care for self.
Your podcast is extremely encouraging and inspiring. Thank you for taking the time to share. It encourages me to grieve well, as Tony Evans put it, and to remember that God can use this season as a blessing to myself and many.
Please keep sharing your Buffalo moments and bringing in those also willing to share. Thank you!
(I highly recommend this to anyone going through any level of marital betrayal.)”
