History told so well you start to forget it actually happened
Dan Jones always makes history exciting and accessible, and this podcast is no different. If you’ve read/listened to his books or watched his documentaries, the episode was still fresh and engaging. If you haven’t and you think history is boring and is just memorizing dates and names, give this podcast a try. Jones has a gift of drawing you into a story and caring about the subjects, and at the end you find you were almost tricked into learning. He is the kind of cool professor everyone wishes they had. He talks about historical events like they’re the most fascinating drama, and honestly by the end you agree with him. They are.

Generally good although Dan does like to be ‘down with the kids’ sometimes which can be a bit jarring. However this aside it’s very listenable.

Great subject and I like Dan’s way of telling the story, but episodes could be longer and provide more info. Less time spent plugging patreon episodes and what is going to be about and more time on the story itself. Cut to the chase and get on with it.
