“Dan Jones is a superb historian who strikes just the right entertaining notes in these podcasts, while maintaining historical accuracy. Just two complaints: the Sony too-slick production takes some of the authenticity and humanity out of the presentations, and the ads are intrusive, jarring, and break the spell of Dan’s narratives. I know I could pay for ad-free but it’s a personal-accounting pain be nickle-and-dimed for every podcast I’d like to hear uninterrupted. I’m sorry Dan chose to sign with Sony.”
