“In the main show I think that Dan is a brilliant storyteller and manages to not treat the audience as either clueless or as experts. The Plantagenets story is exciting and this really comes across in the podcast. I never pay for podcasts but enjoyed the main episodes so much I paid for the bonus ones too - however I wish that I didn’t. They feel like they’re aimed at children, the tone is completely different to the main episodes as it feels overly simplified and dumbed down. I feel like it’s a shame because the topics that are covered are super interesting! I would give the main show 5* and the bonus episodes 2*. I would definitely like to listen to more podcasts by Dan in the future if they’re like the main show and less like the bonus episodes.”

“I have always enjoyed Dan Jones’ books and videos. This podcast is a great short-form way for people to get into medieval history before maybe diving deeper. And even if you’ve learned a bit already, you’ll definitely learn more.”
