This is foolishness. They opine and wax eloquent, abandoning reasonable analysis. They discount any traditional model. I have listened on and off for years, and I can’t anymore. Disgusting bias and arrogance = blindspots.

Grew up in household where dream interpretation went with morning coffee. Love how accessible they make psychoanalysis and lean into the magical on occasion. The episode about the 1980s Satanic Panic moved me.

Talking about the Levant without mentioning Palestine is historic erasure. Say Palestine.

With an INTJ temperament, a Psychology college major & propensity to like to try to help friends interpret their dreams as well as my own, these three take the cake for me. I appreciate the wide variety of topics offered, the depth of their discussions, and the camaraderie & respect...Read full review »

*my comment on YouTube was censored by the hosts so I’ve put it here instead* I have found a lot of value from this podcast in the past. But the most recent episode (being loyal to self and the death of illusion) came off as extremely elitist and out of touch. It was stated that workers who are...Read full review »

I discovered TJL just weeks before the onset of the pandemic and the timing was fortuitous. One of many auspicious synchronicities. The show might not be for everyone but it was exactly what I was looking for and have remained a loyal listener since I first laid ears on it. A source of so much...Read full review »

I love the mission and depth of this podcast and the power of Jungian commentary. Such wisdom! The conversation sadly misses the mark in terms of factoring non-white cultures and histories (American and other). Some omissions and oversights that could really open things up. But the discussions...Read full review »

It is my hope that u could do a podcast about this topic. Specifically how their “male” lens affects their ability to interpret female sexual and initiatory behavior in clients, and to interpret myth, fairytale and dreams.

I’m a long-time fan of This Jungian Life. As a psychotherapist (not strictly Jungian), I gather so much great material from the podcast that enhances both my work with clients and my own inner work (which is guided by a Jungian psychoanalyst). However, I do occasionally find myself frustrated by...Read full review »

This show used to be really amazing when it was about the topics at hand. Now it just seems to be all about Lisa and she needs to be first and doted on and put on a pedestal. I’m hoping we can go back to the original purpose stated in the intro to the podcast.
