“First episode I listened to was host Brian Bradley on the issue of Google & Facebook removing Canadian news from their platforms. Hoping to learn more about the issue, instead we get Bradley reciting directly from Google lobbyist manual. Only the most trivial explanation of what motivated the legislation, and this provided deep into the episode and with the most dismissive tone. Still, laughable whoppers provide some amusement: eg straight faced implication that the need to use a different search engine to find news could be a “life or death” situation, and Bradley wondering aloud if the “average person” has the capacity to understand the issues.
If looking for freshman level journalism look no further.”

“I subscribe to the Toronto Star and visit their site regularly. As such, it was promising to listen to a podcast produced by them, but much to my surprise it was a big disappointment: it feels so false, so unnatural that makes it for an uncomfortable listen.”
