In this episode, we go through the badges and mottos chosen by each Queen with a brief look at how each woman came to be one of the ill-fated six wives of a tyrant king. . I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Heather Darsie, author of a breakthrough biography of Henry VIII’s 4th wife, ‘Anna, Duchess of Cleves: The King’s ‘Beloved Sister’’. The Queen's Christmas message has become a staple in the Christmas Day schedule. It began via a "wireless" address to the Empire by a nervous George V, in 1932. 25 years later, his granddaughter, Elizabeth II did the first televised Christmas Day message!
