Excellent podcast
I've listened to every episode of Thomas and the Bible. 62 episodes so far. I'm a big podcast listener, but I put all the others on hold so I could concentrate on this one. As an atheist I've always felt it's important to know the Bible in order to effectively argue against Christians, who usually have a cherry-picked, sanitized version of this ridiculous book in their heads. The problem is that the bible is soooo hard to read. I've tried a few times over the years and never got though the first couple of books. Well, with Thomas and the Bible I've finally found a way to get through it without gouging my eyes out. It's presented with humor, intelligence and the mocking disbelief that it deserves. I sometimes laugh until I have tears in my eyes. Other times the horror of this book leaves me speechless. And Thomas is there to shake his head in disbelief with me and to put things in perspective. Thomas is providing a valuable service to atheists who know it's important to understand this book but have just never been able to get through it. You no longer have an excuse! Listen to Thomas and the Bible. Thank you Thomas, and I eagerly await the next episode. Surely the Israelites won't go a'whoring on other gods again, will they?

More reviews of Thomas and the Bible
I'm also an atheist who wants to study the bible to see for myself just how crazy it is. Thomas not only reads the bible but he also summarizes what he's read and gives funny commentary. Good work, Thomas!

Thomas tells it like it is, he gives his honest opinion, reaserches what the heck the confusing parts mean, and can now build an Ark and a Tabernacle from scratch, because he read the directions, twice.

If you are like me, coming to this podcast well after it's been running, you won't notice the erratic nature of when new episodes appear. This is a brilliant idea, played off well and entertaining to listen to...it's hilarious to listen to someone experience the frustration and boredom that large...Read full review »
