“The first couple episodes were a little tedious. Thomas says at the outset that he is a layman which gave me pretty low expectations since I was looking for a scholarly, non-devotional take on the bible. Now that i've been through a few books with him, I definitely see the value.

“It is a work that, being largely metaphorical, signifies the True Word of God. When Thomas says The Bible "is crap" and there is "no god", you must lsten to The Word and let its true meaning come.
