Something old, something new
The best thing about the past is the romance of it all. While it may or may not hold up under scrutiny, the rosy gleam of decades past is always somehow more alluring and ideal than the gritty present. The Thrilling Adventure Hour takes the pagentry and style of old radio and marrys it with wit, a knowing smile, and some (okay, let's be honest, MOST) of the best performers this day and age has to offer. Balancing perfectly between parody and homage, subtle digs and heaps of great jokes are woven into engaging storylines peopled with well-drawn characters. You'll giggle at quips, but find yourself suckerpunched by a cliffhanger that you can't BELIEVE you have to wait a whole month to see play out. This show is one of my absolute favorite things in the world.Read full review »
