“Ben Acker and Ben Blacker's Thrilling Adventure and Supernatural Suspense Hour is one of the best shows in LA, monthly playing at Largo at the Coronet, in the guise of a classic radio show live performed on stage. In various segments, some recurring, audiences are treated to bits like "Sparks Nevada, Marshall of Mars", "Moonshine Holler", "Fearless Flyer, "Captain Laserbeam" and "Beyond Belief".
The cast doesn't disappoint, taking on multiple roles each show and working together as one of the best comedy teams you'll see (or hear) anywhere. They play as a well-oiled machine, and why not, they've been doing this for over 5 years and most of them have plenty of credits in stage tv and film.
If that wasn't enough, there's always a great variety of guest stars spicing up each edition.
But it's really about the core players and their ability to knock it out of the park each month at the live show. If you can't make it to the shows, and you really should, the podcast should be the next best thing to being there.
