“I am so touched that she shared the story of her grandfather and how she’s applied his positive outlook to her own business. He must be so proud!
I was surprised at how much this reminded me of MY grandfather. He was a poor farm boy who left school in 8th grade to work. He always had several jobs and developed this little hobby called stock market investing. He died a wealthy man, yet was always ashamed by his lack of education. I was told never to discuss it with him, now I wish I had, so I could have celebrated him and we could have turned that shame around. HIs experience of leaving school was so common at the time.
He was ALSO expressed positivity at all times. Everyone loved him. He worked hard and one of his core values was helping his neighbors and sharing what he had. I am going to spend some time today, writing about my grandfather and seeing what else HE can share with my company.
From this podcast, I wrote myself a little reminder sheet of what to do when things are challenging.
