Bloody Baron Theory
Hey Brother! From New Zealand! Thank you for this podcast. No one in my life reads Harry Potter. It's nice to have, for the first time, someone to read alongside with. I have a theory about why Peeves is afraid of the Bloody Baron. If Poltergeists are the manifestation of a particular attending quality (e.g. rule-breaking) then perhaps the students at that time, as well as relentless rule-breaking, harboured an extreme fear of the bloody baron, and this quality manifested in parallel with rule-breaker into Peeves the Poltergeist. But we can go even further. Perhaps the Bloody Baron was a live man brought into the school as a last resort to bring the rule-breaking under control.
