Each episode listing various books helps me select what to read. I’m not much of a fiction reader, but the descriptions make some books I thought would be too heavy sound compelling from whatever facet of the book Greg Edwards is talking about. I enjoy the YouTube stuff, too. A fun way to get lit.

I enjoy this but like the thugnotes you tube channel they don’t seem to follow a regular upload special. I feel like I’m constantly waiting forever for my favorite shows to air ( I’m looking at you too Archer and Stephen Universe)

He help me pass my literature class and crammed and break down books before a test. I now enjoy him outside of class for his original insight on literature on books that l've read and haven't read.Read full review »

Already a subscriber! Podcast loses nothing from the YouTube channel and keeps delivering insightful analysis of the greatest (and sometimes most obscure) works in world lit. with a laugh. The sound effects are great, too! Keep up the great work!

Definitely entertaining fun to listen to in between some of the more serious heavy podcasts I like to listen to. Kinda like a palette cleanser.

I started following Thug Notes in WiseCrack (youtube) and I am glad Sparky Sweets Phd now has his own podcast. I am learning a lot about lit. Keep it real, bro!

Content is dope - format is pathetic. 10 minutes is not a podcast. Combine segments into something longer perhaps?

I love classic literature but Dr. Sparks puts me to shame. I come away from each episode writing down a new classic novel I need to read.

Makes literature relatable and easy to understand. I love the analysis and how it's broken down. Love this. If you mind swears, you won't like it, but it's the best thing ever if you do like swears and lit.Read full review »

I love Thug Notes on YouTube because it’s has a lot of depth in a 5-10 min period, Thug Notes get lit is just top ten list with scratch records; It’s gives a very vague description of the stories that the podcast is talking about I understand that it’s trying to persuade its audience to read...Read full review »

I’m glad they don’t just discuss the “stereotypical” classics that are taught in every high school lit class, but pull from a wide variety of works. Would love to see more authors of colour and writers from outside the Western canon.

I’ve followed Thug Notes for a long time. It’s amazing how easily themes and other aspects of literature criticism can be laid out simply in modern urban slang. I’m well read, there’s always something new for me in Thug Notes. Highest recommendation for anyone who has a hard time jumping into...Read full review »

Recently found your youtube channel through my brother and loved it! You guys make boring literature funny and accessible. Amazing work. Hope you translate some of your youtube content into podcasts, some people prefer this format rather than videos. This podcast is awesome!
