Amazing Content, Uneven Production
Just like The Fall of Rome, the content in this podcast cannot be beat. The creator is well versed in his history and more than capable of sharing it with his listeners. Unfortunately, though this podcast has overall better production than The Fall of Rome, its shares it's common flaw, a sudden cut to ad material with no warning or indication that it's paid for material. Learn from Gimlet and develop ad music or at least learn how to space out the ads to make it substantially different from the actual content. It's truly annoying to be in the world being talked about and then to suddenly have squarespace shoved in your ears.Read full review »

I had trouble with the pacing on the first two episodes. They felt a bit rushed, and were a hard listen for me. But, with episodes 3 and 4 that has changed. Great pacing, and great subject. Entertaining and informative. Thanks.

Listened to the first two and found my insatiable thirst for knowledge nearly quenched for the day. If you want lots of thoughtful and articulate accounts of histories that you may have not previously known of, this is the Poscast for you.
