Excellent
I've listened to the first few episodes and also listened to Patrick's earlier podcast, The Fall of Rome and his podcast covering combat sports, Heavy Hands. Throughout all of these Patrick has given me many a pause for thought and provided nuanced views that often challenge my own assumptions. I have a history degree and feel that above the great production value, Pat's obvious enthusiasm and knowledge the most important aspect of this podcast is that Pat is honest with the listener. He tells us right from the off that there is no one interpretation of history and that there are many interpretations that deserve to be understood. He tells us to be sceptical, something most pop-historians abhor because they struggle to push their own politically driven version of history. Overall a superb show.
