One of the best MTG podcasts, Flores needs to learn his place
This is truly one of the best sources for MTG content, it is this despite Mike Flores' long-winded and self-aggrandizing stories about how he used to be a player back in the day. Dollars to donuts Flores is better at constructed than most, but the real reason that he's here is to prop up his man Pat Chapin, whose insights on the game are truly remarkable. I'm reticent to write this review because I'm worried that I'll lose the percentage points that I've gained on my FNM, but if this review convines Flores to dial back 3 clicks then it will be worth it. To Patrick: Keep doing what you're doing, your a genius and a great story teller Flores: I don't think many people care about decks you designed that were played by great players years ago, they certainly don't care about your ability to reference cards from the dark ages I think your friends find you charming, but it doesn't translate on the cast (this also applies to Top 8). You need to play the straight man to Chapin's expertise. Remember: Missed role assignment = game loss. You're forgetting who the beatdown is brother.Read full review »

I look forward to this podcast every week. I usually hate mono-red players but Michael J seems ok.
