On  Kyushu  Island,  the  southernmost  of  Japan’s  four  main  islands you  can  truly  get  away  from  Japan’s  massive  urbanized  world  of  concrete  and  highways.  Here,  within  a  couple  of  hours’  driving  you  can  visit  the  bright  pink  and  blue  geysers  of  Beppu,  hike  around  the  Aso  Volcano,  and  chill  amidst  hippy  vibes  along  the  beach  of  Miyazaki.

One of the more scenic overland destinations in Texas is located within Big Bend National Park in the Texas mountains and basin region. By stitching together a route from the network of 4x4 park roads, a sightseeing overland trip with multiple nights of backcountry camping without ever leaving the park can be formulated.

The Kokopelli Trail was established in 1989 by the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association (COPMBA).
