“Late to the table but a great podcast for those interested in joining the FP industry, those in it and those who call themselves seasoned professionals. I’ve never really labelled myself as a “ planner “
rather than an “ adviser “ but I know I’ve always given a service that’s different from the norm, goes beyond a transaction, is about full engagement and being involved in all aspects of a clients life journey.
Three years ago on Brexit Day and on the cusp of lockdown - I did it. Left the Rat Race in my mid 50’s and set up my business. All too often your success in an advisory firm leads to more and more clients so in the end you become reactionary and you never truly know or add real value. Now I work with 35 clients ( families and businesses ). The value both ways is enormous! Love the podcast especially because now I don’t have a big network of fellow advisers.
Perhaps a bit of girly input wouldn’t go a miss in the future ?! Always happy to add a feminine touch ! Keep me smiling guys”
