“Thank you for shining your light on a dangerous and abusive industry. This happened to me in the 90s. When I got home, I started talking about it, but no one believed me. It became a joke at my expense with my family. They started calling it Camp Snoppy, and no idea why. I think it was easier to laugh about it instead of healing the wound and pain it left. I’ve pushed it so far down inside that I don’t remember a lot of the experience. So I’m doing the work now, it’s never too late to start.
I feel so very seen and heard hearing about your experience, efforts and what you’re learning along the way. I hope law makers are paying attention and are willing to make permanent ethical and safety changes. I’m hopeful that other industries that treat children will review their processes and procedures.
So grateful for you! 🩷”
