“This is the first Podcast of yours that I have listened to and I am now a subscriber! I couldn't have agreed more with you! I and a group of 6 other travel agents were lucky enough to go to Puerto Plata in June for 7 nights on a FAM trip! It was gorgeous! The other agents all made use of their mini bars and they all survived! (I don't drink alcohol often so I just had the water bottles but did sample the Mamajuana on various excursions) Tourism is 80% of the economy in the DR and it makes me so angry that irresponsible "journalism" and social media are hurting that beautiful country and its citizens! I put journalsim in quotes because I don't think we have a true journalism in decades. Journalists used to take pride in the accuracy of their reporting Factual who, what, when, where and how was reported. Why was only mentioned if the why was a known fact, otherwise it was left out or was on the editorial page where you knew it was just one person's opinion of why something happened. Facts don't matter any longer, just sensationalism!
