“This has become my favorite podcast. Many a dreary Monday has been lifted by hearing this podcast. A very difficult time in my life was made easier thanks to this podcast as well. I've been a Trek fan since I was 3; I can talk canon all day long. Some of the facts and claims made on this podcast are staggeringly wrong. And I love it. Star Trek, especially TNG, is an "emotional" show, despite the fact that they made the bridge look like a Lenscrafters or the lobby of a La Quinta. The emotional connections Alice and Veronica and their incredible guests make are what I find important and enlightening. I knew of Alice from her appearances on other podcasts; I did not know of Veronica and she is a revelation. If you are a Trek fan, this podcast is worth your time (and support - their Patreon is seriously worth your time). Thank you, Alice and Veronica, for this podcast.
PS In case Alice and Veronica are reading: If you want to really put a foot in what most Trek fans end up invariably taking about, the subjects that come up the most are: 1) What happens to the semen left on the holodeck? (I think the ship recycles it and it's part of the food the replicator makes. Riker and Barclay alone probably provide most of the food on the ship. I also like to think it's in Picard's tea.), and 2) What does the transporter really do? Does it really spead your atoms and reconstitute them, or does it create a copy and destroys the original?”Read full review »
