From casual Trek fan to TNG convert.
TNG has always been on my nerd bucket list, but constantly hearing that the first couple seasons were super crappy meant it was perpetually at the bottom. Treks and the City takes the edge off the whatever-ness of season 1 with two hilarious co-hosts who have an obvious passion for the show, plus a series of amazing guests (Rhea Butcher and Guy Branum are highlights, and the Nicole Byer episode nearly killed me). This fresh, funny take on one of sci-fi's most sacred of cows is a welcome change of pace from the stiff, pedantic boys clubs that tend to dominate geek fandom.Read full review »
