“Trends Like These is a podcast discussing the most popular and trending news stories of the day. The concept has been done many times before, but where this show shines is in the experience held by each of the hosts.
Travis and Brent are both adept in the internet as well as the entertainment industry, and their experiences lend both credibility and interest to the topics that they bring to the show. Their discussions about the changes in format and industry are insightful and informed, and their personalities and comical sensibilities make for some laugh-out-loud banter.
Perhaps my favorite thing about the show is the backstory of these two. Travis is a professional podcaster, coming from popular shows like My Brother My Brother and Me, Bunker Buddies, and The Adventure Zone. Brent comes from the YouTube sphere with his longtime successful series of brentalfloss music and videos. These two greatly separated sections of the internet are married together by their years in college as roommates, and it makes for a great relationship piece. It's like we get to hang out with two old friends as they hang out together.

“Came for Brentalfloss, stayed for the awesome content. The discussion of trending topics on a relatively short and frequent format is the ideal model for these kinds of podcasts.
Also, the chemistry of the authors and their views on the world is a great plus. Recomended.”
