The Questions remaining...
...to me hover around nothing but: how did Joe get away with it? His story is challenged by logic as well as witness accounts, his alibi is a sad joke. Several of his statements have been proven to be lies. His motif is clear, his unhinged state around the time of her disappearance established (the call to George at 2 a.m.). Since Louisa had no Meth in her system, I am fairly sure, Joe was the one who took (and probably paid for) what she bought from George that night, which would have further clouded his judgement. The events as they present to me are: he killed her at home, drove her to the creek in her car in the morning and dumped her there. He claimed to have walked the dog and seen her dressing gown to explain his footprints there, which proved unnecessary, though, since the investigation was even sloppier than his story. Does he have friends in the police force? Was it a male bonding thing? I found and signed the petition to reopen this case. Can't believe Joe has bettered his ways. Very, very good podcast though! Very fine research, and beautifully narrated. I like true crime mostly for the intimate knowledge of "average" non famous people's lives, and here I found wisdom, strength, and deeply important human history, brought close to the heart. Thank you. Deep respect to Tass.Read full review »

Thank you for your professional, passion and dedication to justice for Louisa. This podcast and its journalistic excellence strongly reminded me of the award winning Teacher’s Pet by Hedley Thomas. Just brilliant. Thank you Julia and Clair.

I feel as though the point is shining light on stories like Louisa’s in hopes that it will help get people who do know something to come forward. For me, we have to get away from the mere entertainment value of a real life tragedy and remember this was a person with a family and friends who had...Read full review »
