Like, Kind of Annoying.
I am giving this two stars- and not fewer- due to the fact that you can tell that the research has been done in this case. Israel Keyes is still such an unknown quantity that I appreciate any podcast that tackles the subject. The reason this doesn’t get MORE stars is the fact that, for one thing, the perspectives of a number of other podcasters are given an airing, and its pointless, fluffy filler. Do I really want to hear what a bunch of random people’s “favorite crime” is? No. ESPECIALLY when every other word out of their mouth is “like”. The host also sounds very weedy and milquetoasty- like the guy couldn’t change a tire but can tell you where the nearest sustainably sourced farmer’s market is. Don’t get me wrong- I dig sustainably sourced farmer’s markets. These people all just sound somewhat separated from the real world to me. And the music is annoying too- that same electro-noise with cooing female come-on vocals. Sophomoric all the way round.

Such a great podcast! I wish the music in the background in episode 2 would be turned down as it’s distracting; but it’s been really good!
