I just saw a true crime show and totally impressed by your work for the family!

Art
In totality, Josh Hallmark has created a homage to the victims and a place to reflect and find some empathy for those who knew Keyes. From the poetic telling of these acts of Keyes, to the deep research and collecting of data, this is a work of art. Must be said, the subject matter is extremely...Read full review »

One of the best tc pods out there, just keep being interesting and super pleasant voice and soundside… big recommendation from here!

When you say Greenwich NY, it’s pronounced: Green-wich, not grenich. Otherwise keep up the great show and content.

This a review of the audio not the content. You would think after 6 years they would figure out how to make an episode sound good. All the seasons have been rough here and there but season 6 has taken it to a new level. Literally the audio is so hot it’s almost unlistenable. Figure it out already.

Amazing! I love the detail, I love the emotion and feeling that’s been put into this podcast. I just get sucked in every time I start listening. Keep up the good work! I love the way you call him “Is” it’s astounding the work, effort and heart Josh puts into his podcast. Oh, and Josh’s...Read full review »

I absolutely adore this podcast. Its captivating and the music perfectly enhances the story and new information and revelations. I’m so excited about season 5 I could piss!! Thank you so much Josh and everyone

I think this podcast peaked in its 3rd or 4th Israel Keyes season. Now it's just an endlessly stretched out, fluff-filled show with very little narrative pull through. Interspersed with dark and moody music- probably 2-3 minutes of playtime including the outro. Add in at least 8 minutes of...Read full review »

Research good. Host talks about himself and his feelings and experience, which means nothing to me - im here for Israel, not dreams the host has about Israel or his thoughts on true crime. He uses a lot of we statements - feels like he thinks all listeners feel/think the same. Sometimes talks as...Read full review »

I’m 21 minutes into the latest episode and on the 3rd ad break. Come on. Very little content actually coming from episodes anymore and I feel like there’s lots of filler with each episode becoming a bit more self indulgent. Eh… 20 minute episode: first 7.5 minutes is commercials.
GabyGabyBee via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/19/24
People praise Hallmark’s research . But I doubt much of what he reports and claims, based on mistakes that he makes in discussing the Maura Murray and Brianna Maitland cases . His voice and manner are embarrassingly fake. Why add you’re misguided political views to True Crime? This is just a...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to Josh’s investigation since season 1 was launched. I re-listen to this podcast regularly. Josh is a wonderful story teller and applies so much effort into being considerate to victims families. A great listen into this truly terrifying serial killers victimology and...Read full review »

A fantastic, forensic deep dive into Keyes. A man I wasn’t really aware of until I began listening to TCB a few years ago. The depth and breadth of Keyes’ crimes is truly staggering. Episodic podcasts are my favourite type of listening. However, and this is a minor thing, one of the...Read full review »

It’s incredibly off putting to hear music behind the serial killer’s confessions. What on earth was the thought there??? Music is used in communication to influence the listener’s emotions. Hearing a serial killer talking about his crimes is emotional enough. We don’t need any enhancements. And...Read full review »

Thorough and well put together. An exceptional true crime podcast and one that you’ll run through multiple times. Enjoy!

This was the gold standard and when there’s an episode it is high quality but this latest season is using the same old Keyes clips and only had a few light content episodes after a long break. Maybe there is just no way to go forward with this, Keyes is dead with his secrets. Everyone has been...Read full review »

Honest and truly sincere investigation of one of the most perplexing serial killers of all time. Josh and now his team as well continue to invest in finding answers and I cannot wait to hear the new season.

Love the research, editing & production but the Iz, Israel buddy fixation is kinda sad. Iz 🤦🏼

Obsessive detail and effective lines of speculation make this an addictive show. Fully impressed. But Josh, please give a thought for those of us who can’t stomach vocal fry, it’s a sensory horror that can make amazing work unlistenable.

I’ve been listening to Unsafe Spaces but I have to look for it. It doesn’t come up in my “Listen Now “ on Apple.

Hi Josh and team! Thanks for plugging Unsafe Spaces on the 5th Anniversary bonus episode! I was totally unaware of that show but it is awesome, just as I would expect from you. I will also drop a review on Unsafe Spaces.

Meh
The first season is great. Past that it’s basically pure speculation. They read off a missing persons case anywhere in the western hemisphere and conclude it’s a victim of Israel Keyes. Great music though

If you don’t listen to True Crime Bullsh**, are you even a fan of true crime? This is as good as it gets - a well-written, well-produced podcast, with great music and, most importantly, research that is actually making a difference.

I really like this podcast, but I feel like it gets so repetitive. I’ve listened to some episodes and thought my phone had messed up because it felt like I had heard everything already. There was a bit of an ick factor with the narrator. Whilst insisting it was about the victims and families was still talking about Isreal Keys like he was obsessed with him. Constantly calling him by ‘IZ’ really grossed me out. I thought the nightmares he had about being friends with ‘Iz’ and...Read full review »

This is a good podcast the only thing I don’t really like is the 5min song at the end. I think it’s not necessary and really has no relevance to the podcast. As well if doing Q&A it would never nice to hear the questions so the answers don’t seem abstract.

The deep dive done on Israel, Keys, by this podcast is fascinating. It is such a complicated case, and Josh does a great job of pulling threads and connecting dots. I am enjoying it immensely, even though it is so frightening to think that someone like Israel Keyes walked among us.

I have been a fan for a long time, and I don’t know why I never thought to review the show before except that it’s seemed to have done just so well without my input this far, but I just finally listened to the September 9th bonus episode, and I just want to say how incredibly impressed I am that...Read full review »

I found TCB through an episode of My Favorite Murder, and can’t stop Listening. I am from the PNW and am fascinated by Keyes (who I had never heard of before this podcast). The amount of work and research Josh and his team have done is incredible!! This is truly a deep dive into a twisted story. Josh retells this story with such care and respect to the victims, their families, lifestyles, and culture.

It took me a few episodes but I’m all in, I am excited to see how they evolve the podcast since you don’t want to risk running out of content. I like the other cases that are highlighted and how it could be tied to Keyes.

I’m super new to this pod and listening to the first season. It might get better but the host’s lip smacks become distracting if you’re sensitive to that king of stuff like I am. Other wise this is a great pod.

I’m a late comer to this podcast. I really enjoy all the detail, however I’ve noticed a HUGE increase in the number of commercials from the first season to the end of season 2 and into season 3.
