Where Do I Begin?
Someone here mentioned the stories you never hear. As a longtime true crime fan, I certainly didn't feel there was anything new here story-wise. What IS new, at least among the podcasts I listen to, anyway, including the ones she cites in her opening, is a horrifying sense of arousal. Maye she's just such a dedicated actress that she felt the need to give the reading of Albert Fish's first person words the same level of salivation Fish himself would have given, but honestly, that kind of titilation isn't remotely what I gravitate to true crime for. While the choice of that piece of text as the opener for a new podcast may have been meant to create shock value, for me it created creep value and made me feel I have absolutely zero in common with the person who made this podcast. This combined with the fact that her "purr-like-a-kitten" voice is not nearly loud enough (I listen to podcasts while I work and found myself straining to hear even though i'm sitting right in front of the computer - not something that happens too often with the dozens of pods I listen to) makes me pretty sure I won't be returning.Read full review »

I love the soothing, rhythmic tone of the podcast- even if the subject matter is creepy! A well researched, thought out show that keeps the listener engaged. I just started listening but definitely subscribed and will be catching up on all the episodes ❤️

I love the stories and detail but the host sounds like she's whispering. I would give the podcast more stars if the host spoke at a normal level.Read full review »
