Residing and practicing in Providence, Rhode Island, Dr. Zaki was well-loved by his patients, and was described as gregarious and friendly. On April 10th, 2001, Dr. Zaki was found dead in his home, shot in the head one time. Immediately, police were suspicious of his wife, Deborah Zaki, and were also questioning his relationship with the mob, as well as disgruntled patients possibly having a motive.
