Ugh.
Katie and Liz were great, until they went on an uneducated rant about the ongoing conflict in Israel. The senseless loss of life on both sides of the Gaza-Israel barrier is heartbreaking, but by definition a “genocide” is the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group. The only victims of genocide in this war are the Israelis. Hamas’s goal is twofold — to kill as many Israelis as possible, and to kill Palestinians to win the sympathy of the world and so that Israel can be denounced internationally for war crimes. Katie and Liz are smart, talented, and engaging podcasters but they let disinformation and heartbreak on both sides of this conflict cloud their judgement. After years of loyal listening, I’m done.

I was looking forward to a local crime podcast but could not make it through the banter between the hosts. Joking around like it’s a lighthearted story not a murder case. Disrespectful to the victims.
