“I've lost count of how many times I've been the recipient of judgy looks from strangers on the street as I'm laughing aloud to this podcast on the way to work (considering that I live in the former USSR, the stares are a bit icier than usual). I adore True Crime Obsessed and anxiously await each episode, whether or not I've watched the material in discussion. I even recommend this podcast to my advanced level ESL students in order to practice listening to conversational English (also, low-key to help jolt them out of their hyper heteronormativity by exposing them to Patrick Hinds' super-sassy-family-man humor). Gillian's impressions kill me every time! I love how together they don't miss a single opportunity for a good laugh, but also manage to respectfully pay homage to every victim and survivor whom they discuss - something that is often lacking in true crime media.
