Surface level, bad takes
In the Joe Campbell episode you had a man illegally trespassing on another man’s land… multiple times. The trespasser has been warned, threatened, and yet still refuses to stay off the property going so far as to pull out bolt cutters to break in. The hosts blames the property owner. The host claims in the episode where the drunk woman killed the couple that being intoxicated doesn’t change your personality. The host smears the police in the episode where the woman at the hospital died of a stroke on the way to prison. Would rather have heard about the stress police officers go through nightly with suspects who lie and become violent. The psychological impact on the police would be more interesting than just listening to a podcaster bash them. The other episodes were no better. Overall the show and the host has gotten pretty much every case wrong and provided no interesting psychological insight.

This 5-star rating is given for the Kirsten Lobato episode, which was particularly well done. The host’s puns and alliterative summaries are the best (and only?) in the true crime business and are much appreciated by this listener.
