Ok with a pinch of salt
Very short snap shots of true crime cases. There isn’t much analysis or synthesis, but that’s probably a good thing, because Todd isn’t a qualified psychologist. Note that he is careful to say he has a PhD in counselling education. That is because only qualified psychologists are allowed to use that title in the US. I noticed that he frequently has incomplete information and draws some questionable conclusions because of that and I have noted a slightly misogynist tilt that I don’t think he is aware of and doesn’t seem deliberate. It’s useful to note that it exists when he is calling a woman a liar or talking about personality disorders.

I really like this podcast. However, I gave it a low rating because of the “extra” podcast at the end. I don’t know why I can’t fast forward through content I have absolutely no interest in.

I appreciate the deadpan humour and dad jokes mixed with his matter of factly-ness.

As a psychology professor, I have a special interest in these stories and Todd’s analyses. I love the little sarcasm bombs and puns he mixes in from time to time. His deadpan delivery makes them even funnier.
