"Incredible" gets old fast!
Hi Dan! I love your podcast and I'm listening to all of them in order. You ask for feedback, so I'm going to give it to you, politely. You use the word "incredible" way too much. I'm starting to lose focus on the podcast and concentrating on when the next time you are going to use that word is. For example, in Episode 18, I counted each incidence... you used the word "incredible" 51 times! In an hour! That's about one a minute. When you use a word like that too often, it loses it's impact and even it's very meaning... I mean, if everything is "not-credible", that doesn't make much sense... Please break open a Thesaurus and start expanding your vocabulary. You don't have to string along 4 or adjectives to describe something amazing. Just one word should do it, and then you won't run out and maybe only use "incredible" once per podcast? One other suggestion? When asking questions, you tend to ask a question, pause, ask it again in different format, pause, ask it again in a third format. Meanwhile, the person being interviewed starts answering after the first question. I would think you were doing this at the beginning when you were a bit rusty, but you continue to do it and I'm on Episode 21 now. Just a suggestion, I think it will help avoid those awkward moments when you interrupt the interviewee, or they talk over your question because they thought you'd finished asking it already. Anyway, just some construtive criticism to help make a great show even better. I thouroughly enjoy your podast, it's a brilliant idea. Thanks for doing it.Read full review »

Excellent interviews with writers who have researched specific crimes- very insightful, non-sensational, and interesting perspectives. Interview style is low-key and allows for some more 'natural' narratives. I really enjoy this show -Read full review »
