I love it when people have a different opinion to me on films but, too often, there is no opinion on the film under review. Instead we get inane pronouncements about the reviewer’s view on the world. For example, is it valid film criticism to dismiss The Death of Stalin because it’s about, well, the ‘low hanging fruit’ that is the death of Stalin?
