“This show takes apart specific and iconic sounds created in, and creating our world today and takes listeners on a journey through the surprising history and design of these sounds.
Twenty Thousand Hertz isn’t the only podcast out there about sound, but taking up the mantle of episodes like 99% Invisible’s The Sound of Sports & The Sizzle and Reasonably Sound’s The Real Sound of the Summer & The BRAAAM, this show proceeds to explore and position its own unique take on the subject(s) of sound.
Twenty Thousand Hertz an impeccably mixed show, but could use some more historical positioning or sense of place. Regardless of this nitpick its stories are always engaging and insightful.
One of the things I'm most excited about is that there are new and proficient voices entering the audio scene. That this is a young independent organization makes it all the better. And I’m ready for them to tell more stories.”Read full review »
