Understanding the January 6th Insurrection
To understand what happened in the United States on January 6th, 2021 requires a deeper understanding the white nationalist movement in the USA. The reporter in this podcast Interviews a variety of persons from a retired FBI agent that infiltrated white nationalist militias over 20 years, to current and former militia members, all while examining the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the Turner Diaries, Timothy McVeigh, and how Trump has deliberately used whistle calls that prompt violent white nationalists to rise up. Reading and listening to over 200 pieces of content following the January 6th insurrection in the form of articles, analysis, led me to this well researched podcast series by the BBC that helps America and the world understand the current state of the USA and why US law enforcement is concerned about new mass casualty events by domestic terrorists that are now referred to by US and European intelligence agencies as the Christian equivalent of Daesh (ISIS). This podcast compiles an essential history of the worst domestic terrorist attacks in US history and what the USA faces as a result of what is described by academics as the pre-fascist era of the Trump Administration.

This is the best reporting I’ve heard all year. Great sources, tight editing, good archival footage. This production team deserves a Pulitzer. Explains a lot, quickly, with clear logic and an emotional punch.
