I love the podcast but I don't understand why every episode is 14 minutes. That's exceptionally short for a podcast episode. 20 to 30 minutes would be a lot better. In any case, it's brilliant.Read full review »

Incredibly well researched and extremely captivating. A document of a day that still influences politics to this day

My only complaint is each episode is so short! But well done, informative, captivating
Listsner via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/13/22
The content is well researched but the episodes are too short, so with the intros to each episode, the ads, and a teaser for the next episode, the actual body of each episode is too short. This makes the series repetitive and - with the constant interruptions- difficult to follow. The skipping...Read full review »

This podcast is well done & informative. The OK City bombing doesn’t get as much attention as it should.

Great guests with interesting insights.

This is a terrible podcast that fosters hate. It profiles the very people impacted by the bombing and survived it. The bombing had NOTHING to do with the hate going on today. Just because an American doesn’t want socialist infiltrating our government doesn’t mean they are an extremist.

Save your time, this is a political podcast that focus little on McVeigh and the Oklahoma bombing. Instead focus on politics, which I did NOT want to hear. Went as far as focusing on the orange man Trump, as if that had t been beat into us for four years, would have been great to get a break...Read full review »

Loved the topic and the experts interviewed. Leah Sottile rocked it though. Rocking it one star because the mini episodes are annoying because there is so much repetition and ads (seems like 20% of each episode).

This is a fascinating story that is told really well. However, the episodes are so short that it ruins the flow of the story. It would have been much better if the episodes were 30-45 minutes long.

Another piece of incredible reporting to go along with Bundyville. Loved the episode length and binged first nine on a winter walk. A must listen

It’s short, sweet, and to the point.

As someone who had deeply worrying chance encounters with some of the Aryan Nation in the Nineties, I cannot praise this series enough. I’ve long admired Leah Sottile’s investigative journey into the far right (please check out her Bundyville podcast) and, in this series, she (plus producer...Read full review »

To understand what happened in the United States on January 6th, 2021 requires a deeper understanding the white nationalist movement in the USA. This is the best reporting I’ve heard all year. Great sources, tight editing, good archival footage. This production team deserves a Pulitzer. Explains a lot, quickly, with clear logic and an emotional punch.

I listen to these podcasts the weeks before and after Congress’ confirmation of the electoral votes for president-elect Biden. Provided great context as I watched members of the Republican Party descend and our nation’s capital to riot, pillage, and murder. Republicans that were directed to do so...Read full review »

Good introduction to American extremism. If you have researched the topic at all, it seems pretty basic. As the episodes are pretty short, I would have appreciated less repetition and reintroduction of interview subjects. An additional 10 minutes probably could have been added of context just by...Read full review »

Made me scared and left wondering if we will soon see another Timothy McVeigh... censoring and silencing conservatives might be like cornering an animal... they bite

One of my favourites in ages. Lots of intriguing storylines to follow, great characters, excellent plotting. Make more!

It is more Important than ever that we understand what causes and propagates extremism. And more importantly what is being done to try to get a handle on it. Each country has its own journey so there is no dirty of material. Thank you.

Binge listened, and I will probably listen again in a few weeks or so, like I did with Bundyville and Bundyville Season Two, The Remnant. McVeigh was a portend of our current times, and I’m afraid we’ve become complacent.

I caught the very end of episode 10 on R4 last week, I think it was the sound of the bell tolling. I downloaded the series and have listened to it throughout the week. Thoroughly enjoyable listening and eye opening in respect of the continuing issues with extremism in the US. Really enjoyed it,...Read full review »

So well done, well researched, well written, spoken, produced and edited—I mean, I can’t find fault with it. It’s both reasonable and emotional. Teach *this* in schools, why don’t we.

This podcast was concise, informative and also alarming given that we are now twenty five years after the Oklahoma bombing but there is still an extensive network of extremists.

This is another brilliant piece of work and research from the team behind Bundyville. So scary how this links right up to what we see today with the crazy militias ‘patrolling’ the streets Charlottesville the occupation of Statehouses and so on.
Craig D.C. via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/24/20
Brilliant radio but also so important in our current troubled times. I’d expected an account and analysis of the Oklahoma bombing. The podcast does that but so much more. The manner in which it looks at current extremism is forensic and chilling without ever being merely sensational. I couldn’t...Read full review »

There’s something Leah Sottile is guilty of in this podcast that a great many other journalists are guilty of in this space (ie. covering topics of right-wing extremism and the far-right more broadly) which ultimately serves to undermine their best interests and best intentions. Ostensibly, this...Read full review »
