“I listened to every episode for a long, long time to stay informed and get an idea of the developing situation. I tried to ignore a few cringeworthy attempts from the pod at playing some emotional strings that struck me really bizarre and propagandistic. Add to this, the commentary from the men in the podcast, an undoubtedly very white, private boy school, obviously pro-establishment, very colonial perspective that for a while I could at least block and try and filter all the prejudice that comes with their language but there was always something very “icky” that stuck with me at the end of each episode. The last straw for me was Palestine… their coverage and commentary (and their other pod that started to cover that conflict) is all mainstream white colonial rubbish. At least for me now, the purpose Of this podcast Is to understand a Logic and moral standards that they clearly just apply to clients Of western states and not to the global south.”
