Good podcast, but incomplete narrative
This is a really captivating podcast. I’ve enjoyed it immensely for its ability to paint a picture of life in a cult-like group, and the consequences of trying to leave. My main reason for giving it 3 stars instead of a higher rating is the lack of discussion about the federal charges against NXIVM. Specifically I am disappointed that the “sex trafficking” allegation is thrown around casually throughout the podcast without ever being defined or discussed. There has been no clear demonstration of a person in DOS being forced, trucked or coerced into providing a commercial sexual activity (a sex act in exchange of something of value). It’s clearly a cult, and the members and dissenters have been abused and tricked by NEXIVM. Crimes have been committed- but which ones? Without discussing the allegations and explaining to the viewers how those crimes fit with the narrative of the victims, I believe there’s a major hole in this plot.

Well done. Unbelievable how people take advantage of others. Sara is a hero.
