Great Story Telling for fans of live music
As a fan of Phish and an avid concert goer, I find Under the Scales to be entertaining and informative. Tom talks to fans, fans talk to Tom, and stories flow from everybody. There's great podcasts about the shows, like Helping Friendly Podcast, and plenty of interviews with the band out there, but we don't hear from the 'heads' enough. For example, thousands of people literally look down (from their seats) on the folks who love to go to the front every show, but in episode two we get to hear what kind of family those people are, and an insight in to their dedication. In ep 3 it's the tapers we hear from.Fan stories intermingled with Tom's personal experience with Phish make Under The Scales a This American Life for Phish - Ari DubLionRead full review »
