Quite wonderful to hear this chat full of humour, wisdom and wit - I’ve downloaded a few more to enjoy.

Super conversation with Ronan Farrow. Thanks. What an interesting, insightful and confident journalist and writer on recent big events: Me too, Trump, Iran nuclear deal and more.

Adore this podcast to the point where I’ve rationed it since 2017! Where have all the shows disappeared to? I can only see 3 now. Sad!!

I admit, I only listened to one episode and I find him too annoying to ever imagine he would get any better. That is one hour I have wasted and won’t get back again. I find that his reasoning is based on flawed knowledge and a lack of intelligence. I read on one of the other reviews that he was...Read full review »

Too liberal for the BBC! That he got chucked off hosting news night. I rest my case.

I was absolutely gutted when this podcast ended. I could have listed to you both for hours!

Never reviewed a podcast before but I have to say that the combination of some amazing guests (David Baddiel, Russel Kane, Gary Lineker, Gina Miller, David Lammy and Luke Actual Skywalker for God's sake!) and a host who actually wants to listen and understand rather than just wait for the...Read full review »

I love this podcast, what a way with words and asking JUST the right question we’re all thinking. Can you please release the videos with subtitles, or publish transcripts? I want to share your amazing insights with deaf friends and I can’t!

I really enjoy these podcasts because they make me feel like I’m part of the conversation. Other people’s stories are some of the most fascinating even when they’re simple, and it’s a great way to laugh, cry and learn other points of view.

wAs so sad to find out out that unfiltered is ending... I've been binge listening to all the podcast! Thank you so much for educating me in such fascinating topics :)Read full review »

It may be 3:30am when I write this after a night shift but this series has rarely been off my phone in the last week. Must have gone through 15 episodes such has been my enjoyment of each and every one of them. I thought Krishnan Guru-Murty was fascinating, Matt Lucas was candid, Russell Kane...Read full review »

Listen to Michelle Lyon’s interview then read John Niven’s novel The Second Coming! Absolutely intriguing...! Keep up the good work James.

Thus far I have only listened to two podcasts but they have been probably the best two interviews I’ve ever heard in my whole life. Plan B and Akala need to be consulted by the government as I have no doubt they would help fix a lot of the youth crime there is.

This show covers many different topics and is always interesting, even on subjects that I know little about. James O'Brien's style makes it a thoroughly enjoyable listen.Read full review »

Let them talk and complete their sentences. I think the crossover from the LBC studio, where interruptions and sarcasm is required (sometimes) but maybe here in the podcasts let the guest talk. There are grade A guests here and it’s important to hear them and their stories.

Thank you so much for this podcast. While there are people like Gina around I won’t give up hope.

Great to have time and space to properly interview someone and neither the time or the space is wasted.

James O’Brien is s great interviewer and this long form podcast gives him more space. I’ve listened to several and the standArd is consistently high. This one in particular shows how self less and determined Gina Miller is - one day she’ll get a well deserved peerage!

There’s some incredibly interesting guests on this podcast but it’s hard to hear their answers with the host speaking over the top of them. He constantly interrupts with whatever has just popped into his head before they’ve finished answering. Analysis of a sample of 8 episodes revealed 59% of...Read full review »

The guests alone could have made this a 5-Star podcast. They’ve had some excellent people on with plenty of interesting things to say. Sadly it’s heavily let down by the host. James O’Brien is excellent at running rings around people who aren’t very clever on talk radio but put him in a room with...Read full review »

I’m at a particular stage in life where I’ve become technically qualified to do a lot but am doing way too little. Listening t some of his guests has motivated me more than anything I can remember. And as he mentions in all his ads, Eric Cantona is undeniably amazing. Plan B surprised me with his...Read full review »

A terrific hour each week. Some episodes have made me laugh and cry in equal measure. The Simon Thomas and FGM episodes stand out for me.

I love james o brien, I just love him. Ive listened to every episode. Youre taken to the heart of a disparate bunch of people. All wonderful people.....My only choice to interview Jesus of Nazareth Bob quinn Dublin

James is a pleasure to listen to - he seems to get the guests at their ease and that gets them to open up. A must for my regular long drives

Some really great listening to be had with this series, cannot recommend it highly enough. Really great guests and the style of interviewing seems to unpick another dimension to their character which you probably never considered. Changed my mind on quite a few people, highly recommended.

I have become very boring as I can’t stop telling everyone I meet how fantastic these podcasts are. James O’B is a gifted interviewer who magically avoids the classical mistake of ‘taking over’ the interview and let’s his guests unload their soul with his careful guidance. Like Desert Island...Read full review »

Sorry to say (cos he has some great guests) but what an absolutely irritating interviewer. Keeps endlessly cutting off and speaking over guests answers to his questions!! Rude and self absorbed. Doesn’t even seem interested in what his guests have to say - just in his own opining.
mt-613 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/14/18
I really am struggling to turn this off, each interview is as good if not better than the last.
tomas69948263402 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/14/18
First interview I listened to was David Lammy, fantastic. He is what politicians should be, all about the issues. Instead of binge watching, I have been binge listening all day. James O’Brien manages to get the true depth of each person interviewed.

Very late to this! Am enjoying it. Very honest and raw interviews. Mr O Brien is a great interviewer, he gets a lot out of his guests! Keep up the good work

Every episode a winner. This is so great I often choose it over radio and / or music on all my long car journeys now, with the unexpected benefit that they just seem to fly by. Simply marvellous.
Jim Pettipher via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/08/18
Don’t listen to anything else he does or aware of it but the interviews are excellent. A real mix of different people too.
HamishMcHamish via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 08/06/18
Every episode is simply fantastic. What I enjoy most, is that each episode doesn’t simply cover “I did this and this and then became famous”, James digs deep into the psychological and emotional backstory of each interviewee. He shows their humanity, their quirks and their vulnerability. Couldn’t...Read full review »
